Entrepreneur

An entrepreneur is a person that is very creative at doing business in new ways and taking risks to push their ventures to success. Entrepreneurs are known to be very hard working and persistent; they will attempt to start many businesses or try a single one until they get it right.  A new venture started by an entrepreneur can be in any industry, including food, farming, clothing, sportswear, entertainment, and many others.  An entrepreneur can start new businesses or improve already established businesses; some examples of new ventures started by entrepreneurs:

  • Ford Motor Company, a car manufacturing company started by Henry ford in 1903
  • Amazon.com, the largest online book retailer, started by Jeff Bezos in 1994
  • Heinz, a multinational food (ketchup included) company, started by Henry J. Heinz after much struggle in 1869
  • Microsoft, the largest software company, founded by Bill Gates in 1975
  • Toyota, a car manufacturing company founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 originally as a subsidiary of his father's business.
  • Google, the most visited online portal, founded in by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998.

Many times the personality and image of the entrepreneur is essential to the success of a new business, as entrepreneurs set an example for those that work for them, and stand by their company and products in front of their customers.
